It was storming again. This time the rain and wind so uneven it battered against the window in waves rather than a constant white noise Frankenstein could ignore as he worked.
His tapping slowed as he focused on the rain. He should check on Min-gyu - Min-gyu hadn't come to him just yet, but with how the storm was progressing, he might...
Frankenstein heard something else over the storm, loud, closer and something easily recognisable as not being wind blowing through tree branches. He scowled, getting up fast enough that the chair legs clattered against the floor as he rushed out of his office.
He was going to make them into hides.
The closer he got outside, the more the howling dropped off. They could sense he was coming.
When Frankenstein opened the backdoor, he was greeted by the sight of a handful of very wet and muddy werewolves staring at him, tails wagging in an appeasing way.
Full moon, of course. He'd lost track of the days again.
"Yes, you're having fun and greeting each other," he hissed, "but this late at night, keep the howling to a minimum!" He paused as they approached him. "Or do that out of the city. Min-gyu is sleeping." So were their neighbours but he was certain they had gotten used to hearing howling at night by now.
Muzaka's eyes went wide and he whined, licking Frankenstein's face.
"Yes, I'm sure you didn't realise," Frankenstein said, less running his hand through Muzaka's fur and more sliding his hand over water and mud. "Run along then - I'll see you in the morning." It was easy to know what Muzaka would decide to do.
Muzaka barked once, froze, and then gave a softer huff before jumping out of the garden, followed by the other werewolves.
Frankenstein sighed, backing into the house and drying himself off, listening to the rain.
Once he was dry, he went upstairs to Min-gyu's room. It was still quiet when he pushed the door ajar, only deep breathing greeting him.
It seemed the transformation hadn't woken Min-gyu up or he'd fallen asleep afterwards. He was lost amongst all his clothes and blanket though - Frankenstein fished him out of them, folding his clothes and setting them on the bedside table and tucked Min-gyu back in properly. Min-gyu continued sleeping as he left.
Hmm. He would have to plan a bigger breakfast for Min-gyu and Muzaka once they woke up; they always had a bigger appetite after a full moon.
