Min-gyu stared out at the rain, his breath misting the window glass in front of him. It was raining, but it didn't have the heaviness or darkness that usually said it would turn into a thunderstorm. Good. He didn't want to hear another one.
Even if it meant he got to watch stuff with Muzaka...
And Frankenstein usually made them snacks to eat downstairs. Min-gyu still didn't know how to get there, or which door lead down there. It just seemed to appear when a storm appeared.
It was nice and quiet there. Away from all the noise.
Muzaka and Frankenstein were nice too, even if they were really confusing. They didn't act like any of the other adults he was used to. They never seemed to get angry ever either. Even when he dropped something, or had made a mess.
It was weird.
He'd do something that would make them angry though. He always did. He always did something wrong.
He sighed, the window misting even further. If they didn't... If they could maybe... Like...him...?
Min-gyu lifted a finger, and drew himself on the window. Him. By himself.
Like he'd always been, even with his family. They hadn't liked him.
He slowly added Frankenstein on the right, and then Muzaka on his left. They were here now.
He drew their arms and the three of them holding hands.
They were happy with him. Maybe? He still wasn't sure, but it seemed like it.
He hesitated, and then drew smiles on their faces. All their faces.
Because he was happy here too, wasn't he...?
He stared at the picture, and ache growing in his chest, and he didn't know what it was.
It looked like...
Like he'd drawn a family.
But he already had a family.
Who wasn't here anymore.
Frankenstein and Muzaka were.
What...was a family?
Min-gyu jerked at the sound of movement outside the living room, and his eyes widened when he realised what he'd done to the window. Oh nonono- He scrubbed at the mess he'd done with his sleeve and scooted away from the window as Muzaka walked into the living room.
"Heya kiddo," Muzaka said, his eyes not darting towards the smudge he'd left on the window, an easy smile on his face. "You want some warm milk?"
Warm milk sounded nice right now. Min-gyu nodded and got to his feet, trying to not look back at the window, in case he gave himself away.
Maybe he could think some more while he drank.
