Frankenstein woke up early. During one of the few days he didn't have any morning meetings, of course.

He sighed, waiting to see if he would drift off again, but as the seconds ticked by, he felt his mind clearing instead. Damn.

The sky was too dark to see anything yet, and he turned over to switch the bedside lamp on. When he did, he paused, but all Muzaka did was shift slightly, not waking up. Good.

He pushed himself up into a sitting position, and that was what the trigger seemed to be, Muzaka turning towards him, laying an arm across Frankenstein's lap.

It made him smile, running his fingers through Muzaka's hair. "Don't worry," he murmured, watching Muzaka settle down again with a sigh, "I'm not going anywhere." Even in sleep, Muzaka tried to make sure he didn't overwork.

Frankenstein reached into his drawer, pulling out a journal and pen. It had been a while since he'd had enough free time to just draw; he could do that until he felt sleepy again, or until Muzaka woke up.

He looked down at Muzaka's face, fondness curling in his chest.

And he knew exactly what he would draw in the meantime.
