"We should be close," Muzaka said, brushing a branch out of the way. He and Frankenstein could have ran here, but it was a mild day for both of them, and Frankenstein had never been to this region before, so they took a meandering route through the mountain as Frankenstein gathered specimens. The lake would still be there (or should be anyway) whenever they arrived so there was no rush.

"We might need to turn back immediately," Frankenstein said with a small chuckle as he adjusted his bag on his shoulder. "We're quite loaded up as it is."

"You wouldn't want to stay?" Muzaka grinned, seeing the lake peek through the foliage ahead of them.

"It's more preferable I have my tools and can control the test cond..." Frankenstein trailed off as he took in the view of the lake.

It was as Muzaka remembered it: clear water that could be seen right through to the bottom, the banks lush with a variety of plants that made bursts of colour. The mountain face was a good backdrop for it and Muzaka laid an arm across Frankenstein's shoulders, directing him towards the cliff edge to their right. From there they could overlook the whole land.

"Wow," Frankenstein breathed, his eyes wide. "This is beautiful."

Muzaka drank in Frankenstein's expression, his grin softening into a smile. "Yeah, it is." Seeing Frankenstein like this made the trip worth it, even before Frankenstein had found what they came here for.

"Do you-" Frankenstein started as he turned to him. He raised an eyebrow. "You aren't even looking."

"Dunno what you're talkin' about," Muzaka said, squeezing Frankenstein's shoulder. "What I'm lookin' at is great; I could look at it all day."

Frankenstein huffed, unable to hide the corners of his lips twitching. "Ah, you," he said, nudging Muzaka with an elbow before leaning into him.

They made their way back to the lake, setting their bags down next to the treeline. Muzaka settled down in the shade next to them - Frankenstein sometimes wanted to collect items himself, so he knew exactly where he'd taken them, and Muzaka could keep an eye on their bags in case some curious animals ca-

Muzaka's thoughts halted as Frankenstein pulled his top off in one easy motion, draping it over a nearby branch. Next, Frankenstein removed his shoes, rolling his trousers up before heading for the lake.

Right. Frankenstein was going to have to wade into the water, and he didn't like his clothes being wet or dirty if they didn't have to be.

Muzaka leaned back against a tree as he grinned. Yeah, he had the best view.
