M frowned, furrowing his brow. There was something wrong.
There - scrabbling noises?
His eyes flew open and he jerked his head towards his window. And stared.
Not a thief.
A giant dog? It was hard to tell when its massive bulk was blocking out most of the light. It wriggled, trying to pull its way into M’s house and then flopped down with a defeated sigh.
The fuck was a dog doing in his window? It didn’t have a collar, unless it was hidden under the mass of fur, but it didn’t seem feral.
M switched on his lamp and… Fuck. It wasn’t a dog. The limbs were too long, arms ending in clawed hands rather than paws. The snout seemed shorter than a dog’s and -
And.
M fucking recognised that sweep of brown hair, a thick stripe that followed down the middle of the skull.
“Kentas?” fell out of his mouth before he could stop it. Of course it wasn’t Kentas. Kentas was human.
The dog fucking perked up at the name, its tail beating against the window, and even when his face was changed, his mouth was a different shape, M recognised that grin.
Fuck.
Inspired by this prompt, but then went down a different track, haha. Was going to draw something to go along with it, but figured I’d take too long. Maybe later.
