Re-found Court of Puppets, devoured it and it's finished, awww. Just a couple of small ideas bouncing around in my head (while I hope and wait for a continuation)

The military gear felt bulky and restrictive. Mag ran his hand over the familiar curves once he was done, getting used to the give again. It had only been a few months since he'd last donned them but it was enough that he needed an adjustment period. Thicker than the police-grade gear, and much less stretch than the clothing Hanna had picked out for him. She had enjoyed taking him around the shops, getting him to try out a variety of different clothes with a focus equal to when she was hunting a suspect...

Mag turned his head at the sound of the changing room opening.

"You done, Mag?" Commander said, leaning on the doorframe.

"Yes, Commander," Mag said, dropping his hands and walking over, straightening his back. He had taken a more relaxed posture while working with Woojin, in the hope to draw less attention to himself, but with the company Woojin kept, it didn't seem to work.

Commander's eyes flicked to Mag's ears. "Those aren't standard, Mag."

His hand drifted up, brushing against metal. "Oh." His earrings? He had forgotten they were there. "They won't interfere with my battle ability, Commander." They wouldn't distract him, and they would be covered by the helmet in most situations anyway.

Commander stared at him for a second, his vitals unreadable to Mag, before breaking out into one of his usual grins. "Glad to have you back, Mag. We'll see what you've learned once we arrive." He turned and left.

"Yes, Commander," Mag said, following. Woojin's and Hanna's style had certainly been different from what he was used to in the military, but he was glad that he had met them. And that he had been allowed to keep his memories of them. The earrings were something something else to remember them by.
