Deep breathing greeted Muzaka as soon as he entered the lab, and he sighed, following the sound.

He tried to be quiet, but Frankenstein didn't stir as he approached. Frankenstein was sleeping at a counter, head pillowed by one arm, the other still holding his pen.

"Frankenstein?" Muzaka murmured, sliding a hand onto Frankenstein's shoulder. Nothing. Fast asleep. Frankenstein had been busy over the past two weeks, so it wasn't that surprising it had all caught up with him.

Muzaka capped Frankenstein's pen, setting it down next to his journal. Then he eased Frankenstein's glasses off, sticking them on top of his own head, so he always knew where they were.

It was easy to roll Frankenstein into his arms, resting Frankenstein's head against his shoulder, and he headed out of the lab.

Frankenstein still didn't stir with all the movement or the sounds of doors opening and closing.

When he exited the lab, he caught sight of Min-gyu in the corridor and smiled at him. "You all right, kiddo?"

Min-gyu didn't answer straight away, his attention focused on Frankenstein, his brow furrowing. "Is...he okay?"

"Hm?" Oh, right, carrying someone who looked unconscious might not look that great. "He's just sleepin' - he's been workin' hard lately and then he was too sleepy to stay awake."

"Oh." Min-gyu still watched Frankenstein.

Maybe he needed - Muzaka grinned. "Hey, Min-gyu, do you wanna help me?"

Min-gyu's eyes widened in horror, and was that still really scary for- "I can't carry Frankenstein!"

Muzaka sucked in a breath, struggling to contain his laughter. Min-gyu would think he was laughing at him, and that just wasn't true. "N-no, nonono, that's-" Muzaka cleared his throat, trying not to smile. "Ah, that's not what I was wantin' help with." He squatted down so he was more on Min-gyu's level.

"Can you look after Frankenstein's glasses for me?" he said, tilting his head down towards Min-gyu. "They might fall off my head and I'll step on 'em." Definitely hadn't happened before...

"A-are you sure?"

"Yep! I trust ya."

A deep breath. "...Okay."

Min-gyu eased the glasses of Muzaka's head and when Muzaka looked up, Min-gyu had folded the legs back, the glasses held securely in both his hands, concentrating on it as if the glasses might run if he looked away.

"You ready to go, kiddo?" Muzaka said as he stood up again.

"Yeah!"

Min-gyu followed a step behind Muzaka as they went to the bedroom, and when Muzaka glanced back, Min-gyu's brow was furrowed in concentration each time.

It was really cute, but Muzaka wasn't sure if he should say something, in case it made Min-gyu too conscious of what he was doing. But he'd make sure to tell Frankenstein once he woke up.

"Can you pull the blanket back?" Muzaka asked as they entered his and Frankenstein's bedroom.

"Okay!" Min-gyu dashed ahead, but paused when he reached the bed, looking between his hands and the blanket.

Muzaka stifled his smile again. Min-gyu was taking his job very seriously. "You can put his glasses on the bed-side table, kiddo."

Min-gyu nodded, gently setting the glasses down and making sure they weren't close to the edge.

After Min-gyu pulled back the blanket, Muzaka lay Frankenstein down, and they tucked him in together.

They snuck out of the bedroom and after Muzaka closed the door behind them, he beamed at Min-gyu, ruffling his hair. "Great job, kiddo. Thanks for yer help."

"I...helped?" Min-gyu repeated, his eyes wide again, like every time they praised him or gave him a compliment.

"Yep! If I'd broken Frankenstein's glasses-" Again. "-he woulda been sad. You helped make sure Frankenstein wouldn't be sad."

"Oh..."

"You wanna help cook dinner so it'll be ready when Frankenstein wakes up?" They should have an hour, but it would depend on how tired Frankenstein was.

"Yeah!" Min-gyu ran ahead into the kitchen, and Muzaka couldn't help but keep smiling. It was good to see him acting more like a kid now.
