Fandom: Noblesse
Summary: A thunderstorm rolls in.
Notes: Frankenstein/Muzaka, who adopt little!M-21 AU
Decided to make a little collection post for this verse. It might end up being a Frankenstein/Muzaka with kiddo trio, but for the moment it's kiddo M-21. They might be the same verse or separate, but it'll be around the same theme.

Frankenstein hummed at the low roll of thunder as he and Muzaka lounged on the sofa, Frankenstein reading his book while he leaned against Muzaka. The storm had been a long time coming, and Muzaka was getting restless. "Will you be going for a run?"
"Maybe," Muzaka said, his attention on the pouring rain thudding against the windowpanes. "It feels like it'll run its course in half an hour."
Which was far too little time for Muzaka to enjoy it. The flash of lightning was more obvious the second time, thunder following it a few seconds later. Yes, if the storm was just starting and was so close already, it would be over soon.
"You can do a lot in thirty minutes," Frankenstein teased, seeing a slow grin spread across Muzaka's face.
"Well, that'd be a more fu..." Muzaka trailed off, turning his head towards the door, just as Frankenstein heard it swing open.
Hm, calling attention to the fact they both knew Min-gyu was there could spook him and make him run, but similarly, if they didn't acknowledge he was there, Min-gyu could think he was bothering them and leave without asking what he wanted.
"Hey, kiddo," Muzaka said, looking over the back of the sofa. "What's up?"
"Uh..." Min-gyu's voice was so soft it was hard to hear him over the rain. His head poked past the sofa. "Is there-" He flinched at the flash of lightning.
Ah. They hadn't thought about how Min-gyu was with thunderstorms.
Frankenstein had already set his book down and moved to close the window blinds before the next lightning strike.
"You wanna come downstairs?" he heard Muzaka ask Min-gyu.
"Downstairs?"
Ah, yes, they hadn't showed Min-gyu the entrance to the lab yet, but underground was the best place in the house to not see or hear the thunder and lightning.
"Yep, it'll be nice an' quiet there."
Min-gyu's eyes flickered shut at the thunder. "Y-yeah."
"You want me to carry ya, or you good to..."
Frankenstein saw Min-gyu's hands raise slightly forward, and Muzaka scooped Min-gyu up and cradled him against his chest.
As they walked towards the lab, Frankenstein ducked away to grab the blanket he'd noticed Min-gyu had grown attached to.
"You're not angry...?" he heard Min-gyu mumble when he returned.
"Why'd we be angry?" Muzaka asked as Frankenstein wrapped Min-gyu's blanket around him.
Min-gyu didn't say anything for a few seconds. "I'm not s'posed to be scared of storms."
More clues about how Min-gyu used to be treated.
"Storms can be really scary, especially when they're loud," Muzaka said.
"You're not scared of them," Min-gyu said, reproach curling his tone.
"Naw," Muzaka admitted, "but I know lots of people are scared of 'em."
Min-gyu peeked at Frankenstein over his blanket, making him smile. "Not me either." Frankenstein found storms to be rather soothing, and there could be some association with how happy they made Muzaka.
"Hmmm."
"Do you want any snacks right now, kiddo?"
Frankenstein entered the lab code and pressed his hand against the fingerprint scanner while Min-gyu was distracted, and the door opened with a hiss.
"No..."
"All right then."
Frankenstein lead the way to one of the empty lab rooms, but he huffed at... Well. How empty it was. It had a bed and a table, more of an emergency storage if anything were to happen. It certainly wasn't furnished with a child in mind.
"Come on then," Muzaka said, walking towards the bed. "I think yer favourite show is gonna start soon - we can watch it on my phone."
"It's not my favourite," Min-gyu mumbled, but he still looked across as Muzaka settled against the headboard and brought his phone out.
Which was why whenever Frankenstein returned home, he would usually find Min-gyu watching, or in the process of pretending he wasn't watching this particular show.
Although that may have been more about trying to not be caught using something he felt he wasn't allowed to... Hm. Maybe he and Muzaka would have to clarify a few more things.
While Muzaka and Min-gyu watched the show, Frankenstein sat next to them, turning over in his mind what else he would need to bring into the room to make it more comfortable.
