Frankenstein was happy about something, the emotion tumbling through his and Raizel’s link. He was so happy that Raizel could not pick up why, but Frankenstein was coming closer, so he was maybe coming to tell him what he had discovered. It was not the same pride Frankenstein felt when he improved one of his recipes so what had he done...? He had been busy in the laboratory for a few hours, focused on a singular project rather than doing multiple things at once.
Raizel sipped his tea as Frankenstein approached, hearing him hum.
"Master," Frankenstein announced once he was in the living room, "I know what the Union had done with M-21."
"Oh?" Raizel said, watching Frankenstein's wide smile.
"M-21 has a werewolf heart." He waited, eager to see Raizel's reaction.
"Ah," Raizel said. "Yes." So that was what that had been.
Frankenstein blinked, his smile fading. "Master... Did you know?"
Raizel nodded, sipping his tea. "He has an aura that is faintly like a werewolf's. He is not a pureblood, but there is enough werewolf in him to be noticeable."
"...Ah." Frankenstein's response was muted, his gaze downcast.
Raizel studied him. "You had not asked if I knew." So he had not told him. "And you enjoy uncovering mysteries for yourself rather than being given the answer." He would not deprive Frankenstein of what gave him joy.
Frankenstein jerked, staring at him before a wide smile spread across his face again. "Thank you, Master. Now," he said, bowing, "I need adjust some of what I'd prepared for M-21."
Raizel nodded, watching Frankenstein leave, listening to him hum again.
